Abstract Winners
Rules & Regulations for Abstract submission:
- All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar
- Each person may submit a maximum of two abstracts as presenting author.
- The presenting author must register for ICACON 2024. Abstracts of registered presenting author only will be included in the final programme
- The presenting author is requested to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission
- Abstracts must be original and should neither have been published in any indexed peer-reviewed journal nor should have been submitted / presented / intended for presentation elsewhere before ICACON 2024.
- The scientific content must be relevant to the field of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care.
- All submitted abstracts must contain novel data. The presenting delegate should obtain necessary regulatory permissions and take responsibility for the accuracy of the results.
- Abstract stating "Data will be discussed in the presentation" will not be accepted.
- The abstracts should be related to either original investigations/observations, case series or case reports.
- Abstracts will be reviewed by a panel of experts after which the scientific committee will decide whether it will be selected for Oral or e-Poster presentation on the basis of merit.
- Selection committee has the right to reject or accept the abstracts.
- The last date for submission of abstracts is 15th July 2024 (Late Breaking Abstract: 12 Aug - 24 Aug).
- The acceptance and mode of presentation will be intimated to delegates via e-mail latest by 1st August 2024.
- There are attractive prizes to be won (1st, 2nd and 3rd ) in each of the three categories i.e., best oral paper , best e-poster (Original research/Case-series) and best e-poster (Case report).
Abstract can be submitted under any of the following Categories

- Cardiac Anaesthesia
- Thoracic Anaesthesia
- Neuro Anaesthesia
- Regional Anaesthesia
- Obstetric Anaesthesia
- Paediatric Anaesthesia
- Onco-anaesthesia
- Transplant Anaesthesia
- Critical Care Pain & Palliative Care
- Airway Management
- Ambulatory & Dark room procedures
Abstract Guidelines:
Abstracts must be in English, in Word Doc format, Times New Roman font - size 12. Do not include any table, graph or image in the abstract.
Abstract Format: The body of abstract should be structured as follows:
- Title of the Abstract.
- Background, Aims & Objectives
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Title: Sentence case without abbreviations. Standard abbreviations are allowed in the abstract.
Word count: Total word limit is 300 words (excluding references).
Keywords: Include at least three keywords.
Authors: A Maximum of 6 authors are permitted per abstract. Include Full name, Designation & Affiliation of all the authors.
